The Official Chilton County YMCA Facility Rules concerning children:

Children ages 14 and under must be supervised by an Adult or Guardian (age 16 and older)  at all times!
Teens ages 13 and 14 can work out in Fitness Room by themselves as long as their parent or legal guardian is in the facility.

Per OUR Insurance Company:  NOONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 IS ALLOWED IN THE FREE WEIGHT CENTER!  Children cannot stay in the free weight center with parents.  This is dangerous because of the heavy equipment in the room.

On Saturday and Sunday only:  Children 10 and up may use the Basketball gym as long as their parent or legal guardian (must be 16 or older) is in the facility.  Members should be aware that childcare WIIL NOT be provided so therefore members  must make sure that their children are in the basketball gym.  Staff  WILL walk through the facility every 20 to 30 minutes to make sure that children are not in the wrong rooms.
Teens, ages 15 may use the facilities without a parent present.  We will make membership cards for  youth who are 15  so that we can know their correct age if they are dropped off.
The basketball gym hours beginning June 1 are M-F 6pm until close.  Saturdays and Sundays—open until close.
We are excited to be able to offer this new membership category and we will be glad to answer any questions that you may have.  So, please feel free to call us anytime.

As always we are working to build Strong Kids, Strong Families, and Strong Communities.
